Founded in 1967, the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has ten member countries: Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
The revised Trade Agreement is effective on May 1, 2022.
In 2010, ASEAN began using the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) as a standard model and trade practice instead of the CEPT trade agreement, which had constantly amended and adjusted various trade practices and benefits. Lately, the Certification Procedures (OCP) have been revised under the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) in two key areas:
1. Permit the issuance of a Back-to-Back Certificate of Origin that consolidated products with the proof of origin issued from the same country of origin (consolidated export shipments).
