Home > Logistics & Goods > Others > Importing Artworks for Exhibition

There are two forms of Customs procedures to import artworks for public art exhibitions. The temporary import formalities for international exhibitions or competitions (International Events) require A.T.A. CARNET as guarantee documents. Besides, a piece of art that is an antique or art object must apply for an import license from the Fine Arts Department prior to the Customs procedures.

To use A.T.A. CARNET as guarantee documents, a piece of art that is an antique or art object must receive an import license from the Fine Arts Department.

Trader must check permission for the goods before continuing with the procedures.

A.T.A. CARNET Document is an international customs document for customs clearance used as Import and Export Declaration forms and Re-importation Certificate. This cross-border permit controls the delivery of goods from one customs house to another customs house within the country.
