Since the government has given the green light to promote and support the filming of foreign movies, organizing events such as music festivals or international concerts in Thailand, many related government agencies have responded by simplifying the procedures for obtaining various permits to conduct such activities in Thailand.
In the past, it has been observed that movie shootings, concerts, or exhibitions often involve the importation of health products such as food, cosmetics, and drugs. These products require permission from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Therefore, the FDA has adjusted its processes to expedite approvals and permits, aiming to issue them within 24-48 hours. The policy is as follows:
- Provide services in the form of e-Service.
- Pilot a reduction and non-acceptance of documents, especially legal entity documents, allowing transactions to be conducted with just an ID card.
- Reduce steps and approval times for food, drugs, and medical devices, including the registration of establishments and product registration.
- Shorten the time for notifying food details, registering food, and registering food formulas based on the risk level of the food category. Particularly, low-risk foods in 28 categories can receive automatic approval (Auto e-permission).
- Improve processes related to pharmaceuticals and medical devices for low-risk cases, such as reducing the time for registering medical device manufacturing establishments from 50 business days to 30 business days and for registering medical device import establishments from 70 business days to 30 business days.
