Project Background: Previously, the former Rayong Immigration Office was responsible for regulating and servicing foreign nationals within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). This resulted in a high volume of service users, leading to severe overcrowding that the existing facility could not adequately accommodate.
To address this, a new facility was constructed on 49.27 rai of Treasury Department land in Map Ta Phut Sub-district. Operational since 1 October 2025, this new building was specifically designed to support the EEC economic zone.
A Major Milestone: The inauguration of the new Rayong Immigration Office in Map Ta Phut, Mueang Rayong District, marks a significant milestone in raising the standard of services provided to foreign nationals. The facility is modern, convenient, and fully capable of accommodating the rapid growth of the EEC, which attracts a vast number of foreign visitors—a factor that had previously overwhelmed the old office.
Comprehensive Upgrades: The project delivers a comprehensive upgrade to both services and infrastructure, systematically developed to ensure maximum benefit:
Technology & Services: Implementation of AI technology to streamline workflows and reduce processing steps, alongside the installation of advanced information systems.
Facilities: A systematic land-use master plan has been executed, including the construction of police accommodation and the ‘Luang Phor Khao Mueang’ Vihara (Shrine).
Energy Sustainability: Installation of a Solar Roof system to generate electricity for the building, funded by the Power Development Fund for the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate.
Welfare: Establishment of a commercial welfare shop project to generate revenue for the Rayong Immigration and Royal Thai Police welfare funds, in accordance with regulations.
Conclusion: This new building represents a vital development, ensuring the premises are fit for purpose in serving both the public and foreign nationals. It stands ready to support the long-term economic expansion of Rayong Province and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).
