How to request a copy of a certificate, customs clearance document, account, or documents related to customs

It is well known that documents related to importing and exporting goods from foreign countries are crucial. In cases where it is necessary for businesses to request copies of important documents related to the Customs Department from the Customs Department itself, preparations must be made. 

This includes preparing oneself, preparing documents, and understanding the associated costs. We have gathered essential information from the Customs Department here for your convenience.

Important Conditions to Know:

  • The requester must have rights to access that information.
  • The requested documents must not be classified as confidential.
  • The application must be submitted to the Customs office or checkpoint responsible.
  • Clearly specify the details of the requested information according to the specified format/attached format in the announcement.”

Required Supporting Documents:

  • Thai national ID card or government-issued identification document.
  • In the case of a legal entity representative, provide:
    • Certificate of incorporation and power of attorney from the authorized signatory of the legal entity.
    • Thai national ID card or government-issued identification document, or a copy of such document signed by the authorized signatory, 1 set.

Costs:

  1. Reports of various kinds, per set: 200 Baht
  2. Certificates, per sheet: 40 Baht
  3. Customs clearance documents, accounts, or any non-confidential customs-related documents, per sheet: 40 Baht
  4. Substitute license for establishing a bonded warehouse or secure goods storage facility at a port, per copy: 200 Baht
  5. Substitute license for establishing a duty-free zone, per copy: 200 Baht
  6. Substitute license for operating within a duty-free zone, per copy: 100 Baht

Warning/Important Notice: If the requester provides false information or misuses the copies of the documents requested, resulting in damages to the Customs Department, the requester will be liable for all damages incurred.
