This type of visa is a subcategory of the “Tourist Visa” and is issued to those who wish to enter Thailand to participate in various MICE-related events, such as meetings and seminars (Meetings), incentive travel (Incentives), national, regional, or international conferences (Conventions), and trade shows/exhibitions (Exhibitions).
This visa is supported by TCEB: Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, the organization promoting the hosting of meetings and exhibitions in Thailand.
Steps for Applying for a Tourist Visa (Single Entry)
Key Information for TR-Single Entry:
- The visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issuance. The traveler must enter Thailand within this 3-month period.
- The maximum stay in Thailand is 60 days.
- You can extend the stay by an additional 30 days, allowing a total maximum stay of 90 days.
- The Tourist (MICE) Visa is specifically for those participating in the MICE industry, supported by TCEB (Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau).
- If the TR visa holder violates the entry conditions, the permit will be revoked, and future entry into Thailand will be prohibited.
- If the applicant does not have a valid visa or re-entry permit, they must apply for a visa at least 15 business days before their travel date. The visa can be applied for online at www.thaievisa.go.th

Required Documents for Visa Application:
- Passport Biodata (personal information page of the passport) or travel document with at least 6 months validity.
- Applicant’s photo taken within the last 6 months.
- Proof of current status, such as a driver’s license, bank statement, or proof of residence.
- Flight itinerary showing the applicant’s entry and exit from Thailand, including the applicant’s name, travel date, airport names, and flight numbers.
- Proof of accommodation in Thailand, such as a hotel booking or an invitation letter from family/friends in Thailand.
- Certificate of endorsement from the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), including the applicant’s name, passport number, event participation date, and signature from an authorized person.
Important Recommendations:
- If the applicant submits incomplete documents or unclear image files, additional documents may be requested, which could delay visa processing.
- All supporting documents must be accompanied by certified English translations and must be endorsed by an embassy or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
