The government has approved an extension of 6 months for targeted travelers from India and Taiwan who wish to enter Thailand from May 11 to November 11, 2024, to continuously stimulate Thai tourism.

Visa waiver extended for Indians, Taiwanese for another 6 months

•          At the end of last year, Thailand announced a visa exemption for tourists from India and Taiwan holding ordinary passports (including travel documents) allowing them to enter Thailand and stay for up to 30 days, from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024.

•          On May 7, 2024, the Thai government approved the extension of the visa exemption measure for holders of passports or travel documents from India and Taiwan entering Thailand temporarily for tourism. They can stay in the kingdom for no more than 30 days, continuing from the previous measure effective from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024.

•          This extension will be effective from May 11 to November 11, 2024.

•          This measure helps attract and facilitate tourists from both countries traveling to Thailand during this period and aligns with the government’s policy to promote tourism.
